JADE - UENO PARK, JAPAN

“Dear Michelle, it’s true Jade has been remiss on staying in contact, but I have been on a spiritual, not physical journey. It began with my wonderful lotus-inspired necklace in Narita airport in Japan. A group of lovely monks dressed in saffron crowded around Jade, not for her attractiveness, oh, no, but in deference to the lotus around my neck. They told me the story of how the lotus is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism and they were on a pilgrimage to Shinobazu Pond in Ueno Park to view the first blooming of the lotus for the season. Wouldn’t I like to come along? Jade never says no to a group of polite men, especially when they say please. So off we went. The pond was spectacular, but they insisted I experience the natural majesty of Japan. And so, off we went…for a month! Truly inspirational! And the cherry blossoms with Mt. Fuji in the background, besides being breathtaking, certainly showcase the natural beauty of Jade with her very spiritual necklace, I might add. I’m refreshed, inspired and truly in harmony and will chat soon. I have said goodbye to my lovely guides, presented a wonderful offering for their temple and now it’s back to Narita. Sayonara, Jade!”
